We all know whats popular in most areas of Life.  Most popular clothing brands, most popular phone etc..  But what about the most popular Dog Breed..

Here's a list of the 7 most popular Dog Breeds, starting with number 7..

7. KING CHARLES CAVALIER

​Personality

They are affectionate and easy to train.  They are excellent with kids and the elderly.  They get along with other dogs and cats as well.  They make good travellers. Need moderate exercise.
Grooming 
Require a good brush out once a week.  Wash & Tidy up once a month.  They are shedding dogs and if De-Sheded once a month you will notice a huge difference to your furniture, clothes and car.

6. GOLDEN RETRIEVER

Personality
They have been described many times over as the ideal family pet, loyal, good with kids, eager to please and easy to train.  They are intelligent and docile. Need regular exercise.
Grooming
Require a good brush out at least once a week. Wash & Tidy up once a month. They are pretty heavy shedders, so a De-Shed once a month with their bath will keep that hair off the furniture.

​They are a working and herding breed.  Very intelligent, extremely energetic and athletic.They are super affectionate and easy to train.  They are slightly high maintenance in the attention they need. If left alone they will be destructive.  Needs regular daily exercise and needs to be involved in family activities as much as possible.
Grooming
There is the short and long haired varieties.  Regular weekly brushing and a Wash & Tidy once a month. The do shed and would benefit from a De-shed once a month with their bath.

They are SUPER devoted and loyal. With their stature they almost demand respect   They love being part of the family.  They need a lot of mental and physical stimulation.  Always leave lots of toys or large bones for them when you are not home. They can cope well in a small to medium size yard.
​Grooming
​
Require a brush once a week.  Wash & Tidy up once every few months.  They are a Shedding dog, but if you comb and brush regularly few times a week it will help to get rid of a lot of dead loose hair.

3. FRENCH BULLDOG

They are a great house dog that require LOTS of attention. They are great for single people as they don't  need to compete for attention or cuddles   They are good for people living in the city as they do not require a backyard. They do not bark often.
Grooming
​Require minimal grooming.  A bath once a month would be sufficient.  They do shed a little but regular brushing once a week will get rid of some of the loose dead hair. De-shedding required once every few months.

2. STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER (Staffy)










Personality
They come in at number 2 on the most popular list, yet many folks will cross the road when they see a Staffy coming.  Probably the most under estimated of all breeds as being aggressive.  That couldn't be further from the truth.  They are very loyal and fun and will thrive with good training and lots of socialisation.  They love to be included in family activities and love cuddles.  They are great talkers (not barkers). They do not need a lot of backyard space but without regular exercise, toys or bones they can become destructive in their young years.
​Grooming
​Require minimal grooming.  A bath and De-shed once a month.

1. LABRADOR RETRIEVER

It's no surprise that we see the Labrador in at number 1.  They are a highly sort after family pet.  They are friendly, good natured, affectionate with everyone, adaptable and naturally social. They are easily trained, which is one reason they make great guide dogs.  They need to be exercised regularly and they are a high energy dog.
Grooming
Require minimal grooming.  A bath once a month. They do have a dense coat and they do shed. De-shedding once every few months is sufficient..
